On December 10th, 2005, I conducted an informal gauge of public opinion concerning the topic of ROBOTS by searching for people by the interest ‘robots’ on the popular photo-sharing site Flickr.
Sadly, Flickr found no persons sharing my interest.
Today, there are 522 people interested in ‘robots’ on Flickr.
There are two conclusions we can draw from this: one, that I am the first person to be interested in robots on Flickr, ever, and therefore I am one of the most cool and influential people on the internet. Two, that Robots have increased in their popularity by 522%–persumably directly corollated to the excitement generated by my interest in robots and the rise of the Northern Bites, Bowdoin College’s Four-Legged League entrant into the RoboCup World Championships.
must be the latter!
