Radio-Show-Before-Mine Evan

Posted on October 30, 2005

Evan Wheeler, WBOR guru, understander of satisfiability, and famous blogger now has gone pro and has a sweet WP site up over at: http://dopefulhopefiend.com/. It’s run by none other than acosta from http://vdov.net.

What’s great about Evan is that his radio show is right before mine, and–because he’s a music director–he totally picks out the first few tracks of my radio show which puts me through the occasional lagtime that it takes for Mort to arrive. Or if Mort’s on-time, it gives me a chance to seem impressive with some new, emo tracks that I totally know and Mort’s never heard of.

Sweet As.

EmlyDc1 (12:05:47 PM): car outside senate bldgs, say they have a bmb
EmlyDc1 (12:05:54 PM): they’ve evacuated the senate side
hvww0 (12:06:36 PM): ok then

DJs of the Week

Me and Mort made the Orient!

UPDATE::Billy Joel is Mort’s favorite living musician, and Flea is mine.

Nationals.

Posted on October 10, 2005

We won NE Div2 Regionals. We’re planning on Hosting Renegade Div2 Nationals (but not really).

Saturday was wet. Sunday was windy. We went 7-1, beating the team twice that we lost to handily at Sectionals.

I’ve never seen our team so consistent. We had a share of drops, bad throws, bad d’s, but we were always making the good decisions.

We were more intense, consistently intense, then any team I’ve ever played on.

I love my team and this game.

Now time for surgery.

Comment Spam

I’ve activated a ‘Word Verification’ System that Blogger options up for its bloggers. The technology is based on Captchas–which are a neat system to figure out whether or not someone typing in information is a human or computer.

The Beneficial Side of Spam

Posted on October 05, 2005

Many have noticed that this Blog–yes, of juggling, ultimate frisbee, and new zealand hayfair culture–is getting increased amounts of Spam. Some find it annoying–I find it awesome. People, or at least algorithms, love me. Suspiciously, the timing of the new spam coincided with the debut of Google Blog Search.

Anyways, I started to get some really cool spam to my Gmail account when I was in NZ. Here, saved for your viewing pleasure, are the Senders’ aliases. They’ll be helpful when I try to track them down. Doubly suspiciously, all of their parents had a thing for dictionary mashing:
